UI/UX and Graphic Design
What I did
The biggest thing I did for the game was remake ALL of their card frames from scratch. I was assigned 4 separate card frames, and told to create a unique, striking design for each individual one. There were 4 types of cards:
-
Contestants
-
Weapons
-
Mods
-
Vehicles
And despite them all being from the same game, they needed to be visually distinct, even going so far as to use unique fonts! It was a fun project, and you can see what I ended up cooking below!

Here are the frames I made for the game! These are all unique and varied frames that represent the contestant, mod, vehicle, and weapon. They all had to mean something different, from contestants game-show like frame to weapons scrappy metal frame!
Kickstarter Trailer
What I did
After the assets were ready, and after the game had been tested, there was only thing left. Marketing! I was tasked with creating a kickstarter trailer with the energy of an intergalactic wrestling promotion. With such a unique and fun premise, how could I say no?
I worked hard to infuse this video with both information and passion, since I was given a lot of free reign with this one!
In addition, the link below takes you to the full kickstarter page, where you can see the results in action!

Here is the promotional video I created for the game! I had a lot pf fun creating a trailer that captured the exact feel the client wanted from this sort of project!
Character Trailer
What I did
After the kickstarter trailer was done, Speedrobo games liked the vibe I ended up creating so much, he asked if I could do something similar for a trailer showing off the characters you can play as in the game!
I designed it to be like an old VCR tape, and gave it several layers of effects to capture that fun theme. This one was also a great time to create! You can see what I came up with on the right!
Game Design and Playtesting
What I did
In addition to asset creation, I helped playtest the game! My design expertise was called upon to observe others play the game, take notes, and preset my findings on how I felt the experience went.
After that, I was able to present my ideas on how to adjust or fix small parts of the game. I had to explain why I felt those problems were problems and use my findings to offer what I felt the specific issue was.
I even got my own hands dirty every now and then, playing the game and taking notes in a similar fashion.

Here is a sample of one of my playtest documents! I would create so many of these as I tested this game, and would make comments like this that I would need to present to the designers.
